NIKE Thread - Page 485

Yeah it says that in the link in Willy's post, it doesn't really change that it's completely retarded, to release models in such small numbers and let someone else profit on your work.

Someone should go drop kick the CEO of Nike in the nuts and tell him about making money, if 5000 people are willing to stand in line for shoe, why the fuck not make 5000 pairs and profit on it instead of having some dipshit sell them for 100x what he paid.

they want to make noise about those super limited sneakers. That's how they keep their name always on the top of the rumors and hypebeast pages and so on. The best marketing. But let's be honest that every HTM release is super nice and I won't mind to have all htm's in my closet instead of two I was able to get.

so there's no chance those mercurials htm will get rereleased right? And if so, is it that the longer I wait the higher the resell prices will get?

The strategy with those HTM's, Jordan retro, etc. is brilliant, actually. It raises the prestige and hype of a brand that really sells an average quality, commoditized product when you strip away all the veneers.

It can't be efficient because they're redesigning and retooling their production line just to roll out a fee pairs, but clearly they are willing to make those investments

They would still make noise if they made more, FK's are widely released and they make plenty of noise, it's pretty much just Ronnie Fieg level of douchebaggery.

Also 4k for a pair of Nikes, how about no....

If you were paying attention, you could get these for about 600-700$ in the first week they released. Now prices are already crazy high. But it doesn't change the fact that they are really nice :) I am really looking forward what HTM team will put out next.

$700 Still WAY to expensive for a pair of Nikes, thats Tickers, Alden, Viberg money, I pretty much only buy Nikes on sale now a days anyways, as the retail prices are ridiculous to start with.

absolutely. especially since they have pretty short lifespans with regular use

So are they just not going to GR a Kobe 9 Low flyknit?

They're all going to be HTM and impossible to get?

I am not even sure any of the Kobe9s are a GR, even the non-HTM FK lows like the purps and Beethoven will sell out it seems, people are going nuts over them.

The FK hi's barely sit on the shelves these days, only the ugly colorways are sitting but even those are only in odd sizes.

ANy opinions on the new "Zoom Air" technology for runners. As a longtime runner I've always been told Nikes are crap, but I've really enjoyed a pair of nike gyakusou I grabbed at Mercer St last spring. Sometimes I'll use my Flyknit Racers but when I use them twice in a row, I'm hurting afterwards.

I personally love Zoom Air, the Pegasus is my favorite for long runs.

I can't believe I am happy to say this. But was able to get the White Lance Jordan SBs for $250.
