makes the car really come alive...stock exhaust has three (!) mufflers on it

just played an hour of soccer with thm, did not like, but had no other choices. I also didn't like runing in them. They hurt my back. They seem to be find for walking around, though. I'm sure for gym/plyos they're fine. I have also never liked nike's forefoot width. So, yeah, mine are exclusively casual wear except out of necessity.

I find running in my flyknits to be fine, but I'm not too picky about it. I'll still probably switch to frees once I've worn these down though.

I have never owned a single pair of nike shoes I felt comfortable doing anything active, though - running, soccer, anything.

But, I actually would like a pair of frees.

Currently, adidas for both - A very traditional neutral running shoe (nova or whatever the current equivalent is called), and predators. Indoor soccer shoes are also adidas. It's not that I have such great, undying love for the brand, but in every blind (as blind as you can get) trial, I've ended up with an adidas shoe. I have a pretty good local running shop, as well as a good local soccer store (where I've been buying cleats from the same English expat for the better part of my life), so I've worn a lot of things on my feet, and have played in a fair number of things as well. One thing I haven't tried are any of the forefoot running shoes - I'd like to, but don't particularly feel like risking injury during break-in. Could be in my future, though.

 

that's the main problem I had with my black/white FKs (sold them on ebay after a couple of runs + walks in the city); I thought they looked really good on their own, but really did not like how they fit with jeans. They're a good running shoe, and I say this as someone who'd been off NIke runners for 6-7 years ever since I hurt my foot with my previous pair. But for simply walking around I ended up wearing my Lunar Montreal a lot more. I already have some fantastic Brooks PureFlows for running, so couldn't justify keeping the FK just for running

I don't run and wear my FK exclusively for casual and running errands

I don't know too much about barefoot running but I kind of feel like it's not worth it. Running shoes have improved tremendously over the years. Also, the whole risk of injury while getting used to it seems to defeat the purpose. Also, ugly as hell.
