^ Not as exciting as I had hoped—though I'm sure it's an improvement over the shoddy-quality first version (mine lies broken in a drawer right now).

The Fitbit seems like the best fitness tracker out now, though none of them are great. I hope Apple is planning something.

The new Lebrons that cost $200+ that has some chip that calculates how high you jump, that's a gimmick. A flyknit material or lunarlon sole, even though great techs, I consider a gimmick because it is promoted as such and that is what Nike used as a selling point.

I would call the shoes "hyped" than a gimmick. Roshes were cheap pair of casual shoes and it actually went on deep discount ($40 at Nordstrom Racks) and that is really how people got into it and it just snowballed from there. The shoe was hyped because it became harder and harder to find because people started snatching them up once it hit the shelves and with the retail of $70, people had no problem buying several pairs since it is a bargain in comparison to retro Jordans & Nike that starts at $150+. But now, Roshe are pretty common, you can walk into plenty of shoes stores and get them, hell Macys has plenty of pairs in FSR.

So yeah, I would say the is not a gimmick at all as it promised nothing that got people to buy the shoe.

Its not a gimmick man

I think it'll look ok with better colorways.
I'm guessing those are women's colorways.

That looks like the same/similar "free" sole that they put on the nike free dunks...let just say it's hardly free. Also, I feel like the rosche sole is what defines their silhouette but obviously other color ways and on foot will be a true testament.

whatever happened to the nike free dunks?

the shadow ones were pretty easy to get, at least in Miami. hopefully those follow the same pattern of availability
