Ravens: The Webb injury is more devastating than the Lewis one. Actually, I'm optimistic that the Lewis injury may actually be a good thing for the Baltimore D. For so long, the whole scheme has been predicated on taking on blocks and keeping Ray Ray (and to an extent, Ed Reed) free to roam around and playmake. But as those guys have gotten older, no real scheme has developed in its place. Lewis still leads the team in tackles even though he's greatly diminished, which should tell you something, if their last-quintile stats don't. Perhaps players will finally realize they have to make the tackles themselves, or the coordinators will try something different. Lewis will still be an emotional and coaching asset on the sideline without being the overly awe-inspiring figure on the field.
Losing Webb is devastating though. Ed Reed may have to learn how to tackle.
