Penny Loafer Appreciation Thread

I am not sure if you are a new user or just trolling... but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

SF hates loafers. Not all of SF does, as you can see if you look in the "WAYWRN shoes and boots" thread, but SFers usually have to justify owning loafers by having them made of shell cordovan or exotic skins, and only admitting to wearing them under duress. You might have more luck at AAAC, though I have no knowledge of their preferences.

Thank you for replying to my post. I am trying to get members to post pictures of loafers as I am in the market for a nice pair of penny loafers, mainly for wearing with jeans.

No, I am not trolling. I figure the all photos of nice penny loafers could be in one place.

I started with the C&J Sydney but I think they might be a bit too pointy.

Thank you but I am looking for something a little sleeker. Somewhere on this forum I saw a pair made by Fratelli Rossetti and Carmina. They seemed to look very nice.

I am wearing loafers today of my own free will, not under duress.

I would like to clarify my personal position, and say that I like loafers, but whenever anyone asks a question about them, criticism ensues. I did not intend to make any normative judgement in my post above, but the OP had posted something a week ago and not gotten any response, so I wanted to tell him why this might be the case.
