Exact opposite problem for me. Big thighs, calves and ass (from way too many years of soccer and hockey) make it very hard to find anything that doesn't pull at the groin but also has a narrow enough leg opening that my shoes don't swim in fabric (being a size 9 doesn't help matters). All that said, I've found RL Prestons (with some alterations) fit pretty well or at least decent enough.

To the point about not commissioning bespoke chinos, I was wondering about looking at ordering a pair of cotton or twill chinos from Luxire. They provide a custom pant program that I think I might use. Just take measurements from my best-fitting pair and go from there. That way you avoid the "stigma" of bespoke chinos, and avoid the shopping around of RTW...

Switch that out for rugby, and I'm in much the same boat. Sadly, I don't have the upper body to match, and I'm fairly slender above the waist. Thankfully though, I'm an engineer, so not a lot is expected of me sartorially.

In short, I am one goofy looking dude.

Are non-iron frowned upon or something?

The fabric feels and looks weird and unnatural. I have a couple of non-iron shirts that I never wear for this reason.

Independent of the fact the author is lauding Men's Wearhouse, I cannot believe this was written by someone who considers themselves a professional writer on any level. Teenage girls' diaries are better written. And more compelling.

Anyone know who sells a half zip pullover similar to the following:



The original is a RLPL. The first thing about the original that I dislike is the large and colorful embroided logo, it would be imo perfect without it. The second is the retail price of 795 euro, that I find utterly ridiculous. This design is also not really exclusive to RL as I had something similar about a decade ago, but alas it is long gone.

If anyone know where I can get something similar for under 270 euro please let me know.

I only wear suits, too. I have a blazer and odd jacket for social occasions, but I never wear them for work or business events - I'm always in a suit.

Fair enough, to each his own. I won't buy them anymore though I just don't find that the upsides outweigh the downsides.

I'm actually very pleased with the non-iron twill fabric from charles tyrwhitt. They may not breath quite as nicely as untreated cotton but they don't feel or look weird or unnatural.
