^i wear a 9.5 in con 1970 (they're a bit tight but the 10 is too long) and i am wearing a 10 in shoes like pottery. they fit just about perfect. in regards to the shoe itself: there is no comparison in the quality of these versus 1970 cons, these shoes are comfy as fuck, aesthetically superior (imo), and i just know they'll last a long time, plus made in japan by people paid a fair wage. the comfort from the back of the shoe not having that thick rubber shield that cons use is amazing. its like walking on a cloud. i just picked these up and already snagged another pair of the hi-tops in black.

the short: awesome shoe. i couldn't praise them any more, really great shoe that looks awesome with EG and feels good on the feets.

Converse 70's are garbage. i had a pair disintegrate in 3 months and that wasn't even with a lot of wear.

Shoes like pottery are great. I wear the Doeks (a different sub company but made in the same factory).

They are more of a jack purcell shape. So light and comfy. They pair perfectly with EG as well.

I believe The Hill-Side's sneakers are from that same factory too.

Been looking for a pair of Doeks in the deck shoe (vans style) for a while, but most stockists outside of japan are long sold out of that model. I believe Oi Polloi is set to stock them in the coming months, and I fingers crossed they have that one available!

Link to said Doeks?

I would say they are fairly TTS. They don't do half sizes. So i sized up from my usual 26.5cm to 27cm and it fits fine.

We have some of the Court styles left in my shop.

I havn't seen any of the Deck shoe floating around.

If you guys want to order Doek or Shoes like pottery, i recommend Good Weaver. Bought a pair of the mustard yellow slp ones there last year. Just order by e-mail, not the regular menus on the site. I'm getting these this summer: http://store.goodweaver.jp/?pid=87635633
