Wow - Those are pieces that I thought would not go together and ... it's stellar. Also shows what a good season FW14 and FW13 was ...

Thanks! FW14 is easily my favorite season since I've been following the brand. There seemed to be such a wide array of unique fabrics and patterns. Nothing against this season but it just doesn't speak to me as much.

my take on EG is that each season is so vast and inevitably contains many understated easy-to-integrate pieces that there will always be a handful of items I'll put on my full-price list. then comes the initial sale-buy list, containing items that would be on my full-price list, were it not for the cost (i.e. f/w reversible coat) or items that are not must-buy but def still interest me (i.e. this year's s/s smock). then come the third tier items which i'll pick up if/when they drop on the bay or grailed for SIGNIFICANTLY reduced prices (these pieces actually tend to be must-buys that I simply can't afford at full price because I like too much of the collection! haha)...with each season containing so many pieces I think i'll ALWAYS find one or two to pick up at msrp...

That's a great way to put it. For example, out of what I posted above, the Olive Bedford was an insta-buy. I had been eyeing the FW14 Bedford but the elbow patches just weren't for me. The second this one stocked I jumped on it. Same with the Bull Denim. I love the Type 6 cut and a black pair of jeans was something I needed. On the other hand, while I really like Houndstooth WS, I decided to wait till the sales started to dropped. I think with this season there isn't much more I think I want though. I'm pretty happy with what I've got... looking forward to spring!

Not exactly EG waywt related - but kind of...I'm about half way through a new book entitled "Ametora: How Japan Saved American Style." I imagine it will resonate for many folks here. Worth a read if your really into this crazy Japanese/american clothes obsession!

Binocular shirt, polka dot workshirt, E1 pants, button shawl. Between the button shawl and the binocular shirt, this was surprisingly warm. Details (Click to show)

I haven't been here long, but why is this button shawl thingy trending so hard? Not hating on how it looks or is worn but it's just so...random

Many different ways to wear it, perfect for adding a cool fabric or color to your fit.

I have the red / grey vertical stripe shawl from FW12 and it's incredibly warm as a scarf. 3 years going strong.
