HF, I don't have to remind that this is my absolute favourite suit of yours. I think the tie actually goes well here, especially when you have such a fine, plain coat. For some reason, I don't like the scarf so much - I think it is because the patterning is on the same scale as the suit. But I gues with the coat closed and scarf worn as outside, you wouldn't see this.

 

Methinks it is like a weasel... :)

 

BTW, re: your comment in the thumbs on the main thread, the reason for a standing pose is to show the overcoat. Once I've gone through the rotation, I'll probably go back to the other pose. Maybe. Or I might even invent one yet more cheesy. Mind-boggling prospect, I know!

 

Thanks; I like this tie with the suit too. Millions wouldn't....

 

I did vacillate between this scarf and a blue herringbone one, but in the end, colour overwhelmed pattern and I went with this one. Neither was ideal though.

take it down a notch. i don't think wearing an antique table cloth as a scarf qualifies as the 'best' of anything.

Personal taste. I like it more when he goes peacock then ''classic'' way. Suits him more.

its too bad you weren't around for the days when he used to wear purple pants with pink shirts. now I'm getting all nostalgic...
