This is very good advice for beginners or anyone who wants to remain within the bounds of 'good taste'. This is the peacock thread, however. Check out Barims' view on your colour theory! The basic problem with the fit to which you were responding is that like too many, it just doesn't belong in this thread. Just wearing red trousers does not equal peacock.

I disagree with this. To me, peacock is wearing business clothes but being able to integrate a piece or two that NOBODY should have any business wearing, but you somehow manage to pull off. Barims fits are completely out of the box, but they work for him because he's got swagger, and a unique style all to himself. Same thing with our dearly departed LabelKing.

That also can be peackocking, sure. But again, the fit you were talking about isn't that either, it's just a guy wearing red trousers.

Yes, just from the forum.

IMO, Rambo, your definition of peacocking is severely limited. Peacocking and business clothes rarely mix, outside of a few flashy dressers in a few professions, like lawyer Eddie Hayes.

One of the sad things about this thread is how little peacocking there has been on it. Barims, Musgrave and Albert Hal in that wild print coat are peacocking. Most others are just trying to sport a single bold accessory or a pair of red pants.

If this thread were about Blackbirds or Robins with their "piece or two" of colour then maybe...this is the peacock thread for God's sake - I don't know whether you've been 3ft away from a peacock but they are rather visually impressive.
