to inquire as to how he has been received???.......... (which is obvious from my post)

how is he received w/visible tats (e.g., the arm tat and the hand tat)? most people I work with are old/conservative. thus, if there is a tat, it'd better be hidden and something military related (artful tats arent so accepted).  that said, I get employed by clients, so I dont care so much. nevertheless, "so much" doesnt include tear drop eyes tats unless I _know_ the client has real and legal money.

If, as an estate/financial planner, someone walked into my office with teardrop tats, I'd likely ignore him or assume his wealth was ill-gotten (i.e., it'd take more than usual that the client was worth working with).

Questions about tats are terrible legit. I'm from a conservative background and in a conservative area, so tats are regarded as I mentioned above (which generally means a poor choice).

Example: my current GF has a couple of tats. We won't end up together for other reasons, but I, personally, don't want my kids to see their mom with some hideous misshapen thing on her thigh/butt because she was drunk while young and thought it'd be cool.

relevant: he is wearing a tat. so a relevant Q is how he is received.

If you want to ask how someone has been received based on their tattoos, their style, their appearance, or some other objective characteristic of theirs, I suggest not following immediately with how much you think their tattoos, their style, their appearance, or some other objective characteristic of theirs is terrible, off-putting or otherwise unsavory to you. It makes you come off as a trollish, moronic buffoon.

as has been mentioned many times, he is a teacher. it does not seem to be holding him back.

I understand that he is a teacher. I gave my perception to provide context. Context..OMGs NO!

/if only the media would provide context in its reports

Nevertheless, I want to know his experiences. I explained where I am/where I'm from so that he might a little insight when responding to me.  FFS, everything is relative.

dude what everyone is trying to say to you is no one cares about how the guy is perceived based on his tattoos this is a thread about what he is wearing, pm him to find out how he is perceived, thats why myself and a few other members are telling you that the comment was pointless, we just went through the fiasco (in similar threads) of people talking about random off topic subjects, everyone just wants to keep on topic

thread about tattoo: http://www.styleforum.net/t/212397/tattoos

It's possible that some version of your question could have been a reasonable post, but the way you asked it was basically, "Does everybody else realize immediately what an irresponsible person you must be to have tattoos or is it just me?"

Yepp same here, my wife really really hates it to, like real bad. I could have just little beard that I think it's nice but in the same way I feel more fresh and clean when it's shaved.

Who is the igent that is accompanying you?

I am really fond of the silhouette of his trousers. It has two major fit issues, but the concept is growing on me and I may apply it for a pair of odd trousers.

Actually, they're kind of a faded bluey/grey.

I might wear my navy suit with electric blue stripes tomorrow though!

Well, I did, so I'll throw it in here for you to see. But it's not really a peacock look (more typical middle-of-the road for me, if not slightly more to the sober end than middle), so I'll just include it in spoilers rather than an inline image:

im never clean shaven. for being j00ey, and i think a beard gives my face a more angular look, less round. funny thing is, now i want to grow it out, and that gives me an even rounder look. go figure.
