If you do not own the following things, you are not well dressed - Page 30

What are the thoughts on 3-piece suits? I know they're not "necessary" in terms of the items on the list of essentials, but since the advanced list has a DB suit and linen suit, I'm surprised a 3-piece didn't make it on there anywhere.

A 3-piece medium gray flannel--the ultimate winter suit--could well go on the advanced list.

3-pc medium gray flannel chalkstripe? I have only two things still in production (and then I hope I am done for a while) and that is one of them.

Late to the party as usual, but genuinely surprised at how high I score on both basic and advanced lists. I thought I'd be a 25% guy but it's more like 75% on both.

I would say that solid is the more "essential" suit but chalk is nice, yeah.

I bought a lightweight Mac a bit like that one pictured up thread, going for the Harry Palmer look. It hasn't been worn in two years. Here in Houston it rains enough but as most of us drive everywhere it's rare that we get caught in it. The one time I could have really used it on a recent trip to New York I didn't take it as the iPhone forecast said it would be dry!

I have everything on the list and they are my most worn items, except for the black tie.

It's annoying truths like this that keep me from buying a lightweight mac.
