Sorry, this was more an inside joke with Kaplan!

I'm fine with the blue/black combo but, although I know the material are different, in the pic they look too much the same texture wise bigstar[1].gif

X-Post from Hober Thread:

for some reason it feels like the stripes are battling the glen plaid. i prefer solid ties, dots, or maybe small neats, with that kind of jacket.

I thought I'd be safe with the difference in scale. Funny you mention neats... I have a few Hober and Cappelli neats, and I always feel like the smaller patterns compete with the plaid of the suit more than does this stripe.

I like the idea, but I did it a little bit differently:

substitute in striped shirt for extra degree of difficulty

Looks great.

I don't have enough posts to add a striped shirt. (Ha)

That's gorgeous. I'm getting one for a friend for his wedding, I think.

i didnt say i dont like it, its very nice. just that at first glance it seemed to compete with the jacket, same with unbels imo, but they both look nice. i said maybe neats. : )

i really like solids and small dots the most with GP. ymmv tho, these are really personal nuances i guess.

as an aside, i would barely give extra difficulty point to unbel on that stripe, as it looks solid from more than 2 inches away. but a nice touch nonetheless. unless he was merely saying that in theory, and his shirt is indeed solid, as it appears in the pic. in which case, never mind.

I meant in theory. My shirt is solid.

This was the last fit I liked in this thread, way back on page 641. Some games need to be upped.
