It's a speedy we are talking about right? Where is the hate coming from?

pB usually makes sense, but not only is the watch perfectly fine, that particular model is the absolut best of all the current speedy offerings and one of the top three chronograph designs (IMHO, natch).

I agree that the BD could benefit from some tie space.

Still don't like the watch, but I have a question. I have a royal blue "summer" suit. I have no idea what tie to wear with it. Can a black knit work with such a light blue? I am not sure about how to pair it. I was also thinking of a white tie with red pindots that Will has on his site.

Why do people always think I own nothing but grey? confused.gif

I am thinking this: http://store.asuitablewardrobe.net/unlineddottedsilknecktie.aspx In white and red

or this: http://store.asuitablewardrobe.net/unlinedbluefoulardnecktie.aspx

Not sure.

I'm not sure I like the blue-on-blue look, but maybe that is just me. How close in color are those ties to your suit?

I have a summer suit that is a shade lighter than navy that I usually pair with a brown or burgundy tie.

Yeah, the blue in the one tie is very close to the color of the suit. I was also thinking a shepherd's check like this: navy-shepherds-check.jpg

The suit is a few shades lighter than navy, certainly bright in the daylight.

This is nice too... http://store.asuitablewardrobe.net/unlinedmedallionprintednecktie.aspx

Shepherd's check (or indeed other combinations of black/navy and white) would look fantastic.

Darker navies or black knit are fine choices too. Brown, burgundy or combinations thereof are also good but a different direction.

I don't know, navy with a nuch lighter blue would look odd, imo. Black knit might be too stark, but stark isn't something I am generally afraid of. But black with royal blue might look just weird. I am thinking that the white rubbi tie with red dots, or the shepherds might work because of the white base. It looks nice with a white shirt as it blends in, but I'm just not sure.

I'd wear a black tie with it -- though the check is another good idea.

The check and black knit are the most appealing of the options so far presented. Would you wear a brown tie?
