You could also try one of those chains that loop into the buttonhole on your lapel. Sounds a little pimpy, but you can pull it off if you have the confidence!

Erm, mafoofan, I hope you regret/stop this behaviour--it's coming off babyish (if not intentional)--as no one gets the joke (I think).

Apart from that, you're doing a great job. fing02[1].gif

Let's keep it simple with a red coral lapel pin.

Well, there is an Italian designer (Isaia, I think?) that decorates all his lapels with a pin just like that. It's kind of a signature detail. You don't want to look like you're just trying to copy him.

Well played.

Ignore the honest critiques and then flip out over the sarcastic drooling? This thread has been upside down for months. Why don't you just make a thread strictly to bash Foo and then leave this thread so it can get back to being one of the best I've ever subscribed to?

The problem isn't that it's cruel, it's that it isn't funny. I'm surprised SB's ire has been raised to this degree.

I don't hate that tie, SB. Though I am trying.

Too true, The change in behaviour really unnerves me.

Thoughts on this combination?

SB, don't listen to the haters. That tie is full of win. It says that you're confident and know how to have fun. Everyone should have a tie like that--one you wear just for the fun of it.

I'm sure SB doesn't honestly believe that this Britex strip of a tie belongs anywhere near the good taste thread, himself.

It may have just been a late april fools joke from a different timezone. whichever timezone bizarro world resides in.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I see you're going for the layered, Ralph Lauren look. I think the master would have mixed things up a bit more, though. A red tartan plaid tie would really excite things. Plus, a distressed surplus army shirt! Also, if you loosen your tie and unbutton your collar, you'll look more natural and less stuffy. Finally, try swapping out that dingy looking pocket square for a pair of Persols. Now we're talking!
