Any thoughts on my fit?

This is an odd jacket with mid-gray pants.

I think I'm retired from that.

Is this a self-imposed retirement?

Just so much effort. It feels fun and productive a lot of the time, but there is such a strong, dedicated contingent of people who speak out against my credibility, experience, etc., every single time I utter a word that the whole process becomes exhausting and self-punishing. I could comment that it's raining outside and someone would invariably demand to know when I became the expert on weather. Then that would go on for two or three pages.

If I may, and I dearly hope that I am not stepping out of bounds since you are a stranger to me, but some of that may be a reaction to how you put things. I sincerely don't want to start armchair analyzing, but it seems to me that a lot of the pushback is simply because sometimes some of us fail to fully understand the tone the other person is intending. But that having been said, I hope you start critiquing again because I think your advise is valuable. You are one of the few in this thread who actually has taken the time to give your opinion. I wish more would.

First time submission. Have at that fresh sartorial b hole. Worn with navy pants. Colors seem more true in second pic. Noticed ps was a little wonky so refoofed after photos but you can get an idea of colors.

msu, it's really hard to tell anything from your pics, which seem to be worse than mine. Anyway, I am not a fran of that square, or of red ties generally, though points for it being wool which makes it a little better.

There is no doubt I have grown increasingly "direct" here over the years. But reactions to me were always very strong and personal. Maybe some of the posters who were on here back in 2007 can attest to that. So, I just learned to proceed on a near zero tolerance basis.

Wallcloud:

1) Overall, a good try.

2) The shirt is a BD, no? The fabric in that case looks a little too smooth, too much like dress shirt broadcloth. Go with oxford or pinpoint for BDs (or linen for summer).

3) SquareFail w/the green+green (tie+square)

Well, fair enough. You have been here much longer than I and you know your own personal history here better than me of course. Just the same, I hope you reconsider.
