Green/white bengal is out.
Kind of depends on the jacket. Solid blue OCBD is safest. Whie OCBD is high risk, high reward. Do you think you have Miles's cool? If yes, then white. Why don't you try both and take quick pics (if you have time).
+1 They are fine. Excellent, even. Want to try something cool? Wear a black grenadine with a brown tweed.
Many years ago I was told that the only person who could wear a black grenadine or any black tie casual was a person with black hair. Since I have blonde hair I never wore one...I have blue eyes and I've always wore blue ties.
Another old rule was match your trousers to your jacket buttons. I used to do this until I realized how great grey flannel goes with almost any odd jacket.

No idea what "miles cool" is, but i think i could try both. Swapping shirts only takes a minute. Ill try it this week or next, most likely. Thanks.
Miles is the Birth of the Cool. Nobody else has Miles cool.
True story: A friend of mine wrote a story that ended up being turned into a TV movie. One of the cast members was an ex-lover of Miles Davis. As a condition of her casting, she insisted that one of the characters who in the story was named Miles be given a different name for the movie, because "there was only one Miles."
Possibly in passable taste. The pants and square aren't as matchy as they appear in the pic, I forgot to change the "film type" on the ole' Fuji so it's oversaturated.
As for the extended tie blade, this tie is too long and I didn't have a knife handy . . . .
