I know this isn't an ask a question thread, but this does seem like the best place to ask (as more analysis occurs here than anywhere else).
Objectively, why don't 3 button jackets with the top button fastened get much love?
I know that they aren't really in vogue at the moment and that the knee jerk reaction to them is to roll the top button...but that doesn't say anything about aesthetics.
Based on the volume of this thread over the past few days, it's not clear to me that he does.
He's crafting an epic reply that Foo-scores every last miserable outfit in the last couple pages and after he's done blowing his load on you jive turkeys you're gonna be licking your wounds till 2014.
Scared to post this but I want some advice on what kind of pocket square to wear with such an ensemble. Colors are pretty true, though the jacket appears more brown from a distance. Tie is silk/wool, sweater merino. Tried to have varied textures (smooth shirt, rough tie, smooth sweater, rough jacket). Trench coat was for the rain today..
Would a greenish paisley square work with this? I feel it needs a pattern and needs to be silk. Or, the solid cream silk?
I think the thread slowed down because there is such a huge delay when typing long passages into the text box. Pretty soon you will all be hit with foo-de-force upon his clicking submit.
