He'll get over it. Fill him with rum and put him in bed with the captain's daughter; oh wait!

Not sure how I feel about the tie. Any thoughts on this?

A few years ago when I was looking at cloth for a navy blazer or "blazer suit," I really wanted RAF blue flannel. But then I learned flannel is never used for blazers. Sensible, given that it is a relatively fragile cloth and a blazer is supposed to descend from sport and military use. So, when I see what you posted, my mind assumes you're wearing matching trousers.
Whether "dark grey" or "charcoal" is really a matter of semantics here. The pants are dark. I think they'd look better if they were lighter.

From an historical perspective flannel is not an inherently fragile cloth. It was used extensively for sporting attire until at least the 1970s.

ms - I'm still not really sold on this square either. And the jacket seems very dark. Is that just the picture? I almost never like multi-stripe shirts like that. It works fine with the tie and jacket though.

stitches - hard to argue with that, very nice. Just don't show me your red socks!

The jacket is a typical navy, so it is probably just the lighting. I am not sure I like the pocket square either, but I'm curious what you don't like about it.

It might just be my blanket condemnation of yellow. But in general, it's hard to make primary colors look sophisticated. And this is pretty spot on yellow. It's got a little bit of red in there to send it towards gold, but not much.
