It goes without saying (but I will say it nonetheless), I think digests and "best fits" depositories are great, extremely useful and often inspirational.
You're both right that it takes dedication and time (not to mention self-motivation because it seems like a complete one-way street to be very honest).
I have mentioned many times, and I guess I will say it again: I'm happy to continue my "best of" thread and I think that it would be both time-efficient and also a bit more interactive and motivating if people could nominate outfits in the thread and I will only keep the ones that I think are best.
That, of course, implies that nominators are happy with me curating the thread according to what I think is good.
Another way to go about it would be to have people nominate outfits and then thread viewers could vote with thumbs and I would only keep fits with over 15 thumbs for example - number TBD
Or we could go with a mix of both - I'd use the highly rated fits as basis for selection but will reserve the right to keep some that I think are great (even if not highly rated) or kill some that I think are not great (even if highly rated). <--- probably my preferred approach
I would personally like this particular thread to go back to some form of self-policing rather than a random dump of "is this good?" posts and pictures. As I believe Manton wrote in the first couple of sentences of this thread: if you're not sure whether it's in good taste, it probably isn't. Share only what you're particularly proud of, and that will make the conversation more meaningful. Use regular WAYWRN and WAYWT for feedback requests.
That's just my 2 c
