It's an interesting discussion. As I said, I'm in the minority on SF where everyone seems to want to wear grey wool pants with their sport coats.
That said,I can say with a very level of confidence that nearly 100% of my sport coat outfits are with cotton pants. So not really new news here...
For me, first was getting 5 flannels for the sports coat.
Now working on the cotton pants. Trying out the HS 11.5 oz cottons.
o/o - if you don't mind, I'm gonna show your second picture to my tailor. That's how a pair of double forward pleated pants w/suspenders should look. Good stuff!
Agreed. I embrace them. In fact it annoys me when a tailor or cleaner puts a crease in them. They should be casual.
I like them creased if they're "dress" chinos like gdl is wearing rather than workwear chinos. They'll still rumple, but the crease is part of what makes them work with a jacket and tie in the first place.
