Stitchy, you know that tie has no place in this thread. Troll not, mishpaca.

Ara and stitch (earlier stitch in the PoW SC, not later stitch in clown tie) - looking good in similar outfits.

Fred - tie and ps seem matchy but can't tell that well from photos

no trolling. i know peeps may hate the tie, but its still worth hearing if the colors/textures work, even if the tie is not a fave. ok, so maybe a little trolling. but that never killed anyone. i wanted to see what people thought.

Thanks. I think part of it is the perspective from the photo.

Which the suit and tie combo or to matchy?
Yes. I would never wear a tie and square with the same background color. Also, are those grey socks with grey trousers? A second big deduction.

Your choices would be?

Assume your tie is as is. Then the square's background color should be different and either darker or lighter (that's another problem with the current combo). Dark blue, brown or green come to mind. Or cream.

Socks: either maroon or navy blue.

What's wrong with that? I'm interested cause I do that a lot (I find socks that don't match, but rather complement, are more interesting, but didn't know matchig them was wrong).

agree with foo re square+tie. The socks are fine.

And, there you have it, folks. The American, Fred49, loses a few points from all of the judges for too much similarity between tie and hankie, but the Chinese judge knocks him out of medal contention with a controversial sock deduction.
