That's a great coat, emptym! Love the lapel size, and the large scale and boldness of the glen check.

H&B is my favorite

Really, H&B in a single sentence with Drakes and Marinella? Do you mean todays H&B or old ones?

Got a phone w/ a camera in it recently and thought I'd post this, my first and last restroom pic (which may disqualify me from the thread...) in memory of Vox and to contribute to yesterday's glen check sport coat theme. Tie's dark green:

I was borrowing a tie from my dad on a trip home and came across an especially heinous specimen on his rack. "Dad, do you have this thing? Do you actually buy it?" His answer was no, of course not, but you guys gave that to me for Christmas 25 years ago - I've only worn it once, but I could never bring myself to throw it out.nod[1].gif

Hard to see, but is navy suit with lighter navy tie regraded okay?
It either needs to the same navy or far enough apart that there's no doubt that you weren't trying to match it.

I'm personally a fan of using different shades of blue in the same outfit (suit, shirt, tie, but not so much pocket square), so long as the blues are readily distinguishable. It's tricky, but when executed correctly, looks awesome. Can't tell from your pic though.

Thanks guys. The sport coat was made by a mbt of the special run Breanish T4 organized. It's woven of unbleached, undyed wool in two shades. Definitely should have tightened the tie.

Good stuff! I kind of like the tie the way it was for this sportcoat. Only small change I would have made is a different color trousers. From the photo seems too close in color to the trousers. Something darker in various colors may be better, at least to me. That's just nit-picky though.

Thanks Omar. They're a modified Alfred Sargent Holburn boot in shell cordovan, with a couple extra inches of height and a bellows tongue for increased water resistance:

Spectacular boots.  I'm hoping to make my next pair of boots shell, but we'll see if I'll have the funds for that when the time comes.

Thanks! I'm going to invest in a nice camera soon so I can get some proper feedback. Shirt is a Borrelli, btw.
