idk, i saw a few really nice ones in the RL store that looked quite similar and were BD. they were fantastic, except the fit in the body of the shirt was off.

Royal is not right for BDs, the texture and sheen are too "luxe"

Casual Friday good taste?

burton, i like the jacket a lot, as well as the individual elements. however, the slacks seem too casual for the SC, its a tad discordant to me. sorry.

I find this to be the case with 99% of the fits incorporating chinos/khakis.

agreed.

to me, a true dress khaki, like a real fine twill, thinner fabric, that wears like wool, (ed sells some i think) can work with a dress SC.

but the more casual, chunkier khakis/chinos, that always look a tad bumply, those are always best served with a cotton SC of a similar vibe.

just my opinion.

^^Gentlemen - Excellent points. Thanks. The fabric of the jack is duller in real life - photograph gives it more lustre. Generally I wear with grey flannels and suede shoes but I sometimes feel garishly out of place when I see others in jeans.

So this overall fit is kinda bad, pants are way too light, but I always struggle with finding a tasteful way to work with this SC. Thoughts?
