We must agree to disagree.

Yeah, man. That tie is killer. It'd look great with tweed.

You're not a fan of the BB #5?

Indeed it is. Boring. Plain. Non-offensive (or so I thought).

too much blue in this? shirt looks solid, but is actually a light blue hairline stripe IRL

G'day Stitchy,

The suit is a Herringbone Sydney from a few seasons ago now. Fabric is very light so hasn't seen much wear the last 6 months for me here in oz.

The tie is from my range this season. 7 fold, un-tipped, hand rolled edges etc all the usual bum-flufferies.... here is a close up

thanks charlie! i recently got a tie very similar to that. i posted it here too. almost the same, minus the red flowers. but i have seen your collection, and you do have some great stuff. i hope to be a customer some day.

FWIW, I think this length is better on you than your PJ stuff. In fact, I like the fit better all around.

Wondering if this is "good taste" business casual. I am becoming increasingly intrigued by pocket squares that share a lot of the colors of odd jackets.

This looks pretty good. I wish the line of the trouser leg was a little cleaner, but overall the fit is really improved here over some of your older pics. Nice shirt collar and a simple, sober combination.

Thanks.

Still a tad long though. And sadly, Herringbone Sydney is not really an option for me these days. It's starting to cave to the pressure of its parent, Van Laack, and doing silly things like moving away from the splendid Osaka cut (3-roll-2, wide lapels, fuller chest) to quite unremarkable 2-button jackets and suits.ffffuuuu.gif

I'll be sticking with Pat, and thanks to you guys, I know what mods I'll be requesting in future:

- Fuller chest;
- less waist suppression;
- slightly longer;
- Not so tight around the arms and legs;
- A tad more break in the pants (to shiver on top of the shoe, as Corb would say); and
- 3-roll-2 with wider lapels (a new option).

Will have to wait till I've finished moving house and the dust settles, literally and figuratively. smile.gif

Sharkskin, twill, Shantung and hated-by-SF pocket square...
