I like both combinations colour-wise. The first is a bit more autumn-like and the second more spring-like in my eyes. I'm not yet wholly convinced that neat print ties work well with gun clubs but that is a tiny detail.

As for the jacket length, it seems to me that it is long enough to cover your posterior, which is how it should be. There is some trope about a jacket having to reach your knuckles, but you seem to have long arms, and a longer jacket would probably throw the balance off.

Trying to learn a bit here so I thought I'd post two alternatives:
2.

Any comments?
Oh, and in hindsight: the pocketsquare in #2 could have been stuffed in deeper :embar:

Like the 2nd one best. Please also post your new Drapers DB here! :happy:

I guess I'm the only one that likes the first one more...

nope! me too. i like the color contrast better in 2, but i like the items better in 1. i think the pic is also too dark, and in reality i bet that tie looks a little brighter, which is the only issue i have with 1.

You look great LTI and I don't think that jacket is too short given how tall you are...

@LTI

How about tie from the first with pocketsquare from the second (or what color is the small pattern in the first tie?).

On length, would need to see a whole length shot. People are reacting, I think, to bottom of coat relative to your hand and seat.

nice jacket, but i think it winds up looking a little shapeless, possibly because the last button is so high up. i understand that the subject is tall, but the jacket gives an appearance of lower length even though it is a bit short overall. Although the bottom button is even with the top of the bottom pockets (as is typical), those are awfully long pockets...

LTI, I would personally do tie 1 with square 2. I think I'd like that better than either 1 or 2.

Between these two, my vote goes to 1. I am just not feeling tie 2.

^suit, tie, and shirt are outstanding together. square is by definition not terrible because it is white linen but it feels like a missed opportunity. Maybe I'm just too adventurous.

I'm really at a loss to understand how you guys aren't seeing how hideous that jacket is...

No offense intended, of course, LTI. I think i'm either lacking what taste is required in here or you have all become blind. Which is it?
