Impressive, Stitch. As said elsewhere.

Is it rude or inappropriate to ask about what the deliberations were surrounding tie choice and how you arrived here?
Thanks, Cleav.

Why would that be rude?

Tie choice was arrived as follows. Imo, very loud jacket necessitates a solid tie or things get too busy.

I felt with the color and hue of the SC, this green would be nice and I like the saturation of this solid challis from Hober and I think the textures play nice.

Other future pairings would likely be a very dark chocolate grenadine and the obvious solid navy, as well as another green I have with tiny, spread out brown diamonds that are almost invisible at a distance, though as a non-solid that may not work.

Hope that answers your query! smile.gif

@in sitches just levels of English politeness and decorum not wanting to put you on the spot, dear heart.

Very pleased in your response. You of course remember I went for the light blue herringbone Borelli so solids was something I was looking for in anticipation of your pics. I'll be honest in saying that a chocolate brown would have been my bet so glad to see it was up there in your deliberations, then the blue and then a green.

Love it all, thanks man

Anytime! And of course I remember.

When I wear the dark brown I may go with a white shirt. Not in this thread of course.

Clags--

yup, I like a lot of their house ties-- and especially like those by Fiorio ! I don't know that others like me can figure out how to place an order online, given the amount of Korean language on their site. I'd def be interested in purchasing a tie by proxy, such as this one...

@jrd, yup...generally anything imported is overpriced to the max. That being said, the house ties are the least overpriced . I'm going to pick up one for myself...the fabric they used is superb.

Probably going to pick up the rust striped one.

Also will try to encourage them to register.

Anyway, PM me if any folks want me to proxy.

If we accept that this is an ecru shirt, and that the photo was taken at the end of a long day, does this pass muster?

Too dark to say

Not the perfect lighting, but you can make most of it out. Window pane SC, cream silk PS, green neat tie yada yada.

Looks great Stitchy, I think the pupil may have exceeded the teacher. I would probably go for a little more contrast between the tie and the PS but that is a quibble. Great work. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
