way worse than that. we are talking about money misspent and clothing here.

Indeed. "Skip the sodomy and show me the clothes" is a well worn phrase 'round these parts.

Stitchy
Get Chris to make you a dark grey one. Problem solved!

If you could get blocked from the NMWA website would be a good first step.

Your experience is a common obstacle for getting new clients. Everyone has had a bad experience. Everyone has been told they will get something that doesn't end up meeting their expectations. Lower your expectations and then try my work.

Lol true.

The only onstacle here now is $. There was nothing bad about the experience I had elsewhere in Chicago, the problem was with me not them. That I had no idea what I was doing or getting into or what other options were out there.

It is without question that I would be supremely happy with your work.

This is a bit of a misconception. A responsible tailor will draw you out regarding what you like/prefer and don't like/prefer. You will receive guidance according to your need. You only need to know enough to appreciate what is being provided for you. Meaning, being able to discern if something is to your liking. I try to meet each client at the point they are at and figure out what they want to accomplish. Better fit, styling, comfort, all of the above.

The sign right across the street from Chris's Chicago shop:

It's calling your name...

I haven't noticed that. So Mr. Stitches has a Chicago outpost.

You know, Stitchy, down in this part of the world, wearing houndstooth is taken as a sign of allegiance to a particular university...
