Pale light blue stripe on the shirt. I really like pairing thinly striped shirts with POW suits!

I would have done a solid tie with that. "safer"

How about same tie, solid shirt?

I probably would have chosen a neat or a bigger stripe. Looks nice though AP

Thanks...my 2nd choice for the tie was a wide stripe Drake's grenadine. It was all in shades of blue, but ultimately I opted for the brown stripe and the contrast it provided.

that works too, but it's more obvious. That shirt with that suit is a bit unusual, more interesting.

i like it of course because of the overcheck + tie stripe color matching. peepwall[1].gif

also because it looks nice.

I like the striped shirt with check suit, and I bet the tie sits better overall when you're not two inches away from it.

And the suit is a very subtle plaid that reads as almost solid grey from more than a few feet away.

i think thats one of the trickiest parts of showing GP combos here. too far out and you cant see the item specifics, too close and you are not really judging how it comes off irl.

Sorry for crappy pic, but I think this is an exple of trousers darker than coat that works pretty well:

I am fine with darker trousers on the bottom, but I am unsure about this particular implementation of it, ubr. Let's chalk it up to a crappy picture, okay?

click for larger and you can see it much better (if you did not already do so). i like the combo a lot. really like that windowpane.
