For anyone in North America: BUY COPPLEY!! Made right in my home-town of Hamilton.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Coppley always looks great in the window displays at Harry's but anything less than full canvas seems to be considered as Junior Varsity by the great majority on this the forum. For better or worse I've bought in to this a bit and as a fellow Canuck have been building around Montreal's Samuelsohn. Also, I saw a post of yours about the Hudson Room shirt. For the price those shirts have actually gotten some love here on the board. I bought one for $50 and like it a Lot better than a J.P. Tilford that I bought today for $150 (and will be returning). To bad that Hudson Room is yet another brand that doesn't do 16 1/2 x 37 (aside from solid white which is the one I own). I can't find that size OTR by anybody but BB who I will be trying out as soon as an order comes in.

I still like Connery's more, and Connery is clearly the defining Bond, but Craig (or the people writing Craig's Bond) deserve a substantial amount of credit.

DC deserves to be bashed, though, for looking like an ape who goes to Dubai for clubbing.

Is there still an aversion to red ties around here? I never heard that they were wrong, per se, just unliked by many.

It's dark burgundy (and the suit is a Lesser 13oz navy birds eye) but that's what you get with an old iPhone as your camera!

Wow, neither of those colors show up on my monitor.

yeah, on my screen the tie looks orange and the suit sort of slatey.

Not sure - You should post 10 fits featuring a red tie to buck the trend and teach us your ways.

Same here, but i saw that tie at gregs so i know what it looks like.

CM - The red tie situation I guess is not terribly dissimilar from the blue pants situation. Personally, I don't like very bright red ties all that much but I do very much like maroon and burgundy.

aportnoy - based on the glare on the top of your pics id say almost certainly its the lighting not the camera. if you took these in natural light i bet you resolve 99% of the coloring issue. : )

Actual color of the tie btw :

I like some red ties, e.g. burgundies or those reds that veer a little towards orange (Drakes uses that color quite a bit in spring/summer collections)

I don't usually care for bright red in anything. Ties or otherwise. I thought the consensus was generally the same around here which is why it was interesting to see something that looked so red. But I guess it wasn't really red.

real color looks quite nice

I like the base color. I might have liked a darker shade of blue for the paisley, but it's still nice.

Not a very good picture but my 2 cents on the similar toned suit n tie (tie is cashmere Doriani and suit is bespoke zegna 10oz fabric). Both look slightly darker IRL
