Put this together for an occasion where I needed to go day to night with an emphasis on dressing for the evening event. I tried using the stripes and monks to tone it down for the day, but overall it just felt like a coherenceFAIL. I'm really only posting it here to hear this crowd's take on the lapels, which I'm not sure about. I wanted to go wider than usual but feel like these flirt with too-extreme. The sleeves also seem too narrow to my eye. Thoughts?

Square is the foo-approved cream silk.

Only thing you need to do is wear it, in other words, it looks good so leave it alone and enjoy.

You look like you're channeling Harvey Specter from Suits.

I do as well, I'd much prefer wide over narrow even if it doesn't balance as well...

Agreed. Narrow lapels are squeamish and effeminate. Big ones are big time and badass.

It's just too bad not everyone has a head proportionate enough to call for them.

I too would rather err on the side of slightly too large over too narrow but those are almost in 1975 territory. Not bad but right at the edge.

Concur with all the sentiment about wide lapels. To me, it's the chest that is out of proportion here, it's a tad skimpy. Chest is too trim from above the waist to the shoulder. This picture has a wider hip than chest that may or may not be so IRL. The skimpy chest and shoulder is not balanced with the lapel width or vice versa.
Sent a PM on how I would adjust this if he chooses to make a change.

Agree, but these are disproportionate to his build. If he has the opportunity to have them revised, then he should definitely do so.

On stripes ... Here are two Caruso suits that I got from Yoox (both 3-roll-2). I'm trying to decide whether to keep them. These are poor iPhone photos with some correction. Both of the suits are navy. One is 1/8" shadow stripe. The other is 1/2" verging on chalk stripe; the stripe is blue-grey. Are they both in bad taste regardless of other considerations (which is what I would infer from the previous comments)? I can't decide whether to keep them, although I'm leaning toward yes. I decided to post the photos here, since I thought the reponses by be helpful for all readers.
