Best chelseas for $250 and under? - Page 3

this is the other pair I was contemplating back then, but less info about them here. Consensus from depiedencap forum seems to be that it's better to treat them as a beater boot.

Those Bexley's look good, thank you. I might even consider purchasing them over the Land's End boots. Do you think that style of chelsea would be good enough to go with a grey suit as well as jeans and chinos?

Yes for suits. Darker jeans and chinos will work, depending on circumstances (usually burgundy will look slightly better). Lighter jeans and chinos will be harder... Wear a dark jacket to balance it I guess. The net contains numerous images on how to wear chelseas, ranging from the 60s mods to modern industrials. Cuffed straight jeans, stacked slim jeans, no break trousers, etc.

Chelsea boots are most likely the only footwear item that can go both MC and SW&D.

If you ended up getting the Bexleys do post them here, the info on them is scarce in SF. They do look more elegant than the Land's End, and the toes are not chiseled so that should keep them casual enough...

1880 collection is better

Sorry guys, here are the photos and my general impressions (taken under flash with a cellphone camera)

I've only worn them once as there hasn't really been any occasions lately worth wearing them to but I have really no complaints (and nothing to complain about, in my eyes). They ended up being like $150-$160 shipped and arrived to my doorstep in 3 days from France. I am not familiar with the intricacies and feels of high class shoes and thus have nothing to feed those who search for such details but if you are looking for a reasonably well made boot that is affordable, in my eyes look no further.

I can provide pics of them being worn if need be, I'm thinking about getting them in black later on too.

Loake-ish... They will look better when well-worn and under the trouser legs... good beater pair.

Those look good. I'm still considering a black Bexley chelsea boot myself, although I'm leaning in the Jermyn direction. It has the pointier toe.

what size do you recommend for somebody that wears 8UK  8 1/2US size in Clark desert boots?
