I assume most of you have a well-defined workflow by now for posting items. For now, I'm trying to understand the fastest way to get to an ebay postable photo.

Here is my set up:

Canon Rebel T2i with eye-fi storage card -> RAW Image -> Macbook Pro -> iphoto for cropping photo and basic adjustment (Pixelmator if I have to remove a background or something more involved) -> Reduce size of image, save as .png -> Garage Sale -> Ebay.

I'm building an apple script to automate part of that.

Here is my question. 1. what size do you normally use for your photos that you upload? I don't need the 80meg RAW image size. 2. Brian recently posted that in his new set up, he takes the photo, opens it in photoshop, makes 2 adjustments and Voila!....hes done. How about the rest of you guys?

I'm thinking of building a script for autosizing images to specific sizes based on Suit, Shirt, Pants, tie, etc.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I'm afraid I won't be much help. I don't do anything to my pics. Point, focus, click, upload.

I take the photos (to the best of my ability), add them to iPhoto, crop (and adjust lighting/ anything I can pull together to make it look like the real item), and then drag/drop into garage sale in the order of my preference.

I'm probably not the brain you wanted to pick as I'm fairly basic with everything from start to finish, though I'd like to do it better. I await better answers.

Yeah, I try to edit things before they're posted, but I have a tendency to overlook.

Ditto.

Spoo already won the photography contest, and second place is the first loser.

+1

Just having garagesale and building templates there - and the ability to pull things from iphoto - is a huge time saver. There might be some process steps you might want to refine, but I don't think there will be any bigger gains than this one.

so, no cropping? Do you have a resolution set on your camera for your photos?

To you other guys, do you just let Garage Sale transition the very large RAW images to an ebay consumable file size?

VSLI, Which SW are you using to control your cam?

Nikon camera control pro or sometging like that. Makes reviewing adjustments to settings easier too. I'm not sure how much it's worth to you if you planned to pay for it tinfoil.gif

No cropping. I don't know how to work the settings really. I did figure out how to adjust the thingamabob that controls the speed of the whatchamjig so it is less or more light. Other than that....I know how to charge the battery.

Anyone know what the name of this weave is and what the name of this pocket is too?

Also, what color should I say the suit is? Charcoal?

Thanks!

Ditto that here.  Wondered if it was just me.  Uninstalled & reinstalled, same issue (session expired, log in, session expired, etc).

Yes....Mine seems to have cleared up now, so maybe yours will be back up and running again soon.

It's down for everyone. It works sporadically.

I fell asleep while browsing eBay listings last night. I woke up this morning on top if my phone. Just about had a heart attack when I checked in and it told me I had no listings for sale. I thought I had somehow cancelled all 400 of them when I rolled over or something.
