So I just had another (different) buyer "Refuse and return to sender." Am I obligated to give a refund? I thought I read somewhere that if the package is returned to sender I can just re-list it and sell it again. Correct me if I'm wrong, cause I could be WAY off.

I called eBay about this situation today. I explained what happened, got transferred to their manager, who proceeded to tell me that I'm not obligated to give a refund because the buyer refused delivery. I asked him to make a note on the transaction/my account about this, just incase there is an issue down the road.

+1 for eBay in my book after quite a few disappointing events, this was refreshing.

my question: is there any way I can view the note that the manager left? and is there any way to be able to reference back to this call if the buyer opens a case down the road?

Congrats Spoo! that was a fun auction to have in the watch list.

Quote: Can you "see" the note, no. But they leave pretty detailed notes. You need to ask for the "SERVICE REQUEST NUMBER", everything done on ebay has a unique ID #. I keep a log of the numbers the date and a note if I think there is going to be an issue down the line. Whenever I have given the SRN they can always reference back to the previous notes.

Does anyone else here feel the urge to buy a ton of **** every Sunday night right after all the auctions close? Getting a notice on my screen that yet another person has sent me money every few minutes through the night doesn't help.
I've taken to leaving my PP credit card at home on Monday when I leave for work. Srsly.

+1 This was a real problem for me until I made an acquisition budget.

 One more for you... I got to learn this pre-death stuff. When's the first class? Is it a versace leopard panther??
Probably 1998? Vintage Gianni Versace Animal Print Black Panther Gold Baroque Silk Tie
Speaking of - catch and release - blazer with a couple small moth holes and incredibly low gorge, but never saw this label before. Collar tag said made in Italy. Old? Should have copped?
400
Probably 87-88, and virtually worthless on eBay.

Call ebay, speak to a rep, explain the case, use the words "buyers remorse", have them view the messages, and when they AGREE its "buyers remorse" have them put a note on the account and get the service request number for the call. After the note is on the account, explain to the buyer that you can only provide the tag size which was indicated and the item was described correctly and unfortunately you do not accept returns, sorry. If a case is open, call ebay back, have them reference your initial call and close the case in your favor (you do not have to wait 3 days if they agree with you, just get a rep to close is asap).

This is how I do it. All situations are a little different so without knowing ALL the details each item/case is slightly different.

Can we just sticky this so I dont have to write it out over and over

This never works for me, and I could see why. The buyer says it doesn't fit. Reps at ebay have told me multiple times that it is the buyers opinion that matters. If he feels you even measured it incorrectly it's still the sellers fault. Don't ask.. I don't get it either. I just know I probably send 3-5 hours a month on the phone with eBay.

To clarify do you speak to the first rep you talk to, or do you wait for one of the "specialized" reps to note the account? I have had the first reps note the account and it never mattered. The specialized reps would just say yeh that rep was wrong, it's really NOT buyers remorse.

I have basically given up trying to navigate the rep pathways. I have over 1700 feedback so I don't know if I am just considered insignificant, or if they noted my account saying this guy called 7 times a month please don't give him his way EVER.

Give what Brian said a shot, but my experience with sitiuations like that have not been positive.

Brian, do you have a rep you have used in the past as your contact?

Received this message from a buyer this morning. I didn't know this was possible?

Quote: I'm 'special' jk but I get a high volume/top rated power sell rep directly without needing to ask for one. Ebay has a system where if your account is flagged (in a good way) and you call in with the phone number on the account it auto bumps you to them. There is a small team (I get the same basic people over and over as they remember my picture style/username) and I speak to them 1-2 times a week for various things.

If there is a tag size listed and pictured the measurements should not matter. Make sure you have a disclaimer on the listing that it's 'sold per the tag size, measurements are only a guide" or something like that. As soon as the person says it does not fit (and there is a tag size listed and pictured) from my experience it's an open and close case for buyer remorse, I've never lost one.

Its a little more tricky when you have no tag size and only measurements (which is rare) but I've been able to win those cases as well but am more likely to work with a buyer on a return if I feel it might be partially my fault (doubtfull

Quote: To note, I've had ebay reps tell me to do exactly that when there has been issues generating invoices after refunds with the wrong shipping address. Ebay & paypal are one company right now still so if he bought the item on ebay you can go into paypal and make an invoice, put in the ebay item # where there is a spot and send the invoice that way. Then go back to ebay and mark it as paid when it is paid, ship the item, update ebay and paypal with the tracking info etc.

The issue I have is he is asking "including any inport duty"! How are you suppose to know what his country is going to charge him for import taxes.

Why would you ever do that given all the stuff you seem to find at thrifts! Go back and clear them out again!

What would you guys list this as? Is this just Loro Piana fabric? Or is this an actual Loro Piana coat? Made in USA. Anyone recognize the maker tag?
