Turned on my vacation settings (wouldn't you know it, the phone went ka-ching right as I was turning the vacation mode on in Ebay!)... Time for one last Post Office run for the month, then onto vacation. Tomorrow, I head north... To Oregon, Washington, British Columbi and Alberta. After some time up there, back into the US & A for a bike tour of the Rockies...
Enjoy ur time up north. One Family member is arriving back from their Seattle & Vancouver trip tonight, as I type lol.

And I have another immediate family member going on a very similar trip leaving next monday. Seattle, Port Townsend, then fairy over to Victoria for a few days. I've done this trip once years back, and am awaiting to plan another. Its a gorgeous trip, so different from the hustle of Cali.

Pictures welcome!

What is the best way to "punish" non payers?

I've had an unlucky streak of non paying winners. Each time I "resolve a problem" and file it.
After 2 days I can get my fee reimbursed and re-list, but there is no way to leave negative feedback.

Is this the right way to go about it?

Unfortunately so...eBay slaps their wrist, that's am out it.

If they are a seller themselves, you could always buy something from them, and then leave ur negative...not suggesting, merely pointing out the only way possible to negative an eBay account...

^you too? Wow, at least I'll be in good company.
No, not yet, but it is inevitable that we will all lose the status at some point, eventually. My bet is on losing it in January. To keep the plus rating you have to do the ridiculous holiday return thing. That will mean potentially 3 months of BS returns in one month.

Just looked up the holiday return policy, and I can honestly say I will be proud to be an "above average" seller.

Do you lose anything by moving from Silver to Bronze powerseller? Still top rated but missed silver cut off by $300

Doesn't seem to be anything searching online but just confirming otherwise I'll try to call eBay to get it back

No, there would be a difference in the shipping discount, but since you are top rated you get the higher discount anyway.

Sometimes I feel like not responding to members If I don't like their usernames. Recently I've had messages from a "getsomehead" and a "nutsinyourmouth". Like, this is a nice ******* piece of clothing. I don't want some douchebag wearing it. Unless it's Robert Graham, then I literally don't give a **** who you are.

Ahh. It appears that nutsinyourmouth bought something from me and opened a case. I've started fighting it, but I kind of feel like giving up. Claims that the jacket I sent him is a 40 L and not a 40 R like advertised. The jacket didn't have a tagged size so I provided all the necessary measurements. I called ebay first but they told me I should try to work it out with the buyer first. I don't know, I've never fought a case before. So I sent a message back saying that he can't claim that I didn't describe it correctly because I gave all of the measurements. He sent me back one message claiming that measured the jacket I sent him against other jackets of the same brand, and sent me another message with a link to the brand's website (Theory, by the way) with their sizing guide that didn't prove anything. Also, the jacket I sent him was made in Canada and I'm going to assume that Theory doesn't have anything made there anymore so the measurements would be off anyway.

Should I keep going? Give up? Why can't buyers just send me a message instead of opening a god damn case...

Because the fucked up ebay system leads them down that path. It is necessary for it to be that way because it leads to a higher defect rate, which means lower/fewer discounts for sellers, which means higher profits for ebay.

So it all makes sense when you see how it fits together.
