Thanks - I just wonder why someone would go straight to feedback if they have a genuine issue, I'd always speak to the seller personally. And a month after purchase? I'll see how it goes anyway - the advice is appreciated.

36 Short If It's only 30" long

 

I don't think 30" would be a short in a size that small. I'm a 42S and that's usually 29 or 29.5.

ya maybe your right but I also think makers are different. So depending on the brand as a factor as well It could be a regular. I think the jacket really would feel like a 38r when worn.

662 is usually Burnished Tan but these just seem much lighter

yeah i think that is Caramel Cash. 

 

You probably saw this but the first four google results for 'alden "662"' list burnished tan. They could have been uniformly faded.
