+100. I Sold a pair of NIB Lobbs and a month later the POS made a claim (item not received). I pay the extra for restricted delivery, insurance etc. They turned him down - as I had proof of delivery

Last I've seen it was items over $750 need signature confirmation.
Be careful with it because it does get some buyers upset when they live in a safe neighborhood and they have to go get it at the post office because they weren't home when it came.
Edit: you may want to also check what paypal requires because he can always dispute via Paypal. I don't if it matters since ebay is supposed to have seller protection if you satisfied their requirements...

Has anyone else had buyers marking items as payment sent without actually paying? I've had several recently and I just open an unpaid case like I normally would. Just figured they thought they could trick someone into sending the item without paying.

How does that even work?

Pretty sure you can manually mark an item as "payment sent" as a buyer, just as you can manually mark an item as shipped as a seller. I just see the hour glass, like with an e-check, but if I hover over it, it says "buyer marked this item as "payment sent" on 5/10/16".

Correct. So annoying. But reminds me of the days when we used to get postal money orders and checks.

I'm trying to streamline my listing process since I have a huge backlog to get through and wanted to get some input...

I am planning on removing text description of color from almost all my templates (except maybe suits/SCs, where it can be tough to tell color and weave)

I am also planning to remove really obvious "style" descriptions (like "Crewneck pullover sweater" which is obvious from pictures), except once again suits/SCs.

Good idea/bad idea?

When this occurs, does the item automatically show up in your "awaiting shipment" page?  Because with an e-check awaiting full deposit, it won't populate to ship the item yet, because it hasn't fully cleared.  So I'm wondering if it is "mark as paid", if it will populate.

No. It still shows as unpaid, but will show the hour glass icon like a pending e-check.
