That's a big risk on behalf of the buyer. Never a good idea to return something without notifying the seller. It seems like this would put the buyer at risk of the seller claiming they never received anything and were completely aware that a return was in process.

In short, it's only a risk if the buyer isn't prepared to provide proof, that being nothing more than their tracking, followed with a confirmation of receipt. This just happened top me, and is part of my next post, that is long because it took a while to get the ruth, but eveyrone needs to know this shit about paypall......

AFTER 1 MONTH OCCURRING THAT INCLUDED 2 SEPARATE SITUATIONS IN WHICH RETURNS WERE REQUESTED AND DENIED BY MY SELF, SO THE BUYER JUST TOOK IT TO PAYPAL AND FILED AGAIN, HOWEVER IN BOTH CIRUCMSTANCES WON. I DECIDED I ATLEAST DESERVED TO KNOW WHY, NOT JUST SIMPLE RATIONAL THOUGH. BUT TRULLY WHY THEIR RESOLUTION CENTER FILED TWICE IN THE BUYERS FAVOR WHEN THEIR IS NO RIGHT OR REASPN OR SITUATION TAKING PLACE IN ANY MANNER THAT WOULD DICTATE A SITUATION THAT I SHOULD OR HAVE TO TAKE A RETURN. I FOUND OUR THAT A SIMPLE EQUATION THAT CONSISTS OF A INDIVIDUAL WHO ISN'T MAD OR ACTING IRRATIONAL, YET VERY STEARN AND SPEAKING IN A MANNER TO A WOMEN WHO IS EXTREMELY TIMID. THE RESULT IS AN EMPLOYEE BRIEFLY JUGGLING WITH WHAT TO DIVULGE, WHAT SHE CAN DIVULGE, AND WHAT IS TRULY OFF LIMITS. HOWEVER ALL IT TAKES IS A LITTLE STEARN OF A TONE, AND HER RATIONAL THOUGHT COMPLETELY GOES OUT THE WINDOW AND WHAT RESULTS IS EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW, FIRST IN A MANNER THAT IS DIRECTLY ADMITTING JUST PURELY, MORE SUGGESTING, BUT OF COURSE, WHEN YOU FUCKIG SPEAR THAT FUCKING 10K TUNA, YOU DON'T LET THAT BITCH OFF THE LINE. This literally just happened with me, guy did it obviously because I don't accept returns. And after going through a long drawn out process that wound up being mainly handled by paypal, no more than 2 weeks after I declined a return from someone because they bought it without knowing their size, and them also choosing to utilize the paypal route as welll. And after both of these cases, after very precise and direct reassons as to why these goods were declined for return, and that I have that right, and that it says I don't accept them on every lising,, alogn with a plethora of various other reasons as to why I either shouldn't have to accept the return and that thiese people are taking advantage of your system, etc etc. Both cases settled in Buyers favor.....So I took action

 

When you call paypal asking them to explain specifically why they ruled in the buyers favor onn a case by case basis, you will be greeted with a person on the other end of the phone who you will be able to tell is quite unconfortable trying to answer these questions, simply because the answer is somply the fact that 9/10 (I've one 1 time) Paypal doesn't actually review anything at all. They will tell you they will reviw correspondence on ebay or whatever, to try and settle disputes...However the true reason why this women was so uncomfortable, was because the answer is very basic, and come to for a very simple reason. I wented her to explain the strategy behind the process and why I am not winning the cases, and what she did was tell me in an indirect manner, most likely trying to use careful wording because of conversation recording, and not wanted to divulge company policies to people etc etc... However, I simply questioned her response due ti its phrasing, in otherwods I wanted to force her to have to tell me in a very straight forward manner the reason.....

Hey all,

 

I'm a first time ebay seller and had a quick question for ya'll

 

I live in Russia at the moment but will be moving countries again shortly.  Thought I would try to off load some clothes I don't wear much.  Posted a listing for a susu suit but ebay would not acknowledge that I was in Russia when setting shipping options.  Anyways so I just wrote on the listing that I was only willing to ship domestically within Russia (the listing was all in Russian).  I had a guy in America buy the suit (at the buy it now price) yesterday, send me the funds on paypal immediately (which are still pending).

 

I don't really mind shipping to the U.S., I will lose $$$$ (shipping listed as free) but my initial buy it now price was pretty high and I was assuming I would end up accepting a lower offer (basically even with the additional shipping cost I would be okay with this transaction).  

 

Something about this dude buying a listing all in Russian (I'm assuming he can't read Russian and google translate game is questionable or he would know the sale was intended to be domestic only), kinda makes me vaguely suspicious.  

 

Maybe it's just because I don't have any experience with this.

 

What do I need to do to make sure I don't get scammed?  

Ship with tracking, delivery confirmation?

SuSu resells really well, so I'm not surprised you got a high BIN. Having lived in Russia and sent packages from there, I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable using Pochta Rossii to send a package to the US - mine frequently were opened in transit and generally took about 6 weeks to arrive. If you're not willing to pay up a lot for a different delivery service, I'd just cancel the transaction.

I was thinking UPS, Russian post is amazingly terrible. 

 

I was gonna go tomorrow and check out the price and if it is too high I'll cancel.  I think it might eat up as much as 1/3 of BIN price which is pushing it a bit for me.

@Jompso - I think we all knew that, but thanks for getting a Paypal employee to basically confirm it.  That's why I always say there is no such thing as "no returns".

@bisim416 it will be very, very expensive, but good luck! also, i don't know what part of russia you're in but i was sending out of yekaterinburg and that doesn't move as fast as sending from moscow or st. petersburg.

With this sole, it occurred to me they might be a golf shoe, but I find no evidence online.

I got a return request for a jacket for fit issues (buyer didn't see the length). He says in his request that he'd understand if I don't accept the return. I message him saying it's difficult for me to accept it since I provided all accurate measurements. He says it's fine, he understands. 

 

The buyer's been very nice so far and I want to know the least 'rude' way to close the return request. Just click 'decline' in return details? Ask him to withdraw the return request?
