Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions - Page 1820

On a separate note is there a way to block buyers from contacting you via eBay messaging? I have blocked the buyer from bidding but he keeps harassing me. Blaming me for getting hit with custom fees!

You may want to add him to your block list

Nope, sorry dude, I'm shipping your whiskey decanter in a Tyvek envelope with no padding. :hide:

I think because he bought something from you he can continue to message you through that items page. If you blocked him prior to his winning anything he wouldn't be able to. You can complain to eBay about his harassment, or just wait until the auction is archived.

I love natural light. Potato pic test shot in the new studio.

Looks good, Dan. Add a big reflector on the right side to bounce more light back on it, and you might be good to go.

Agreed. Lighting deficiency was much more obvious on the first couple of shoe pics I took.

@Brianpore - if you ever feel like taking a picture of your lighting setup, I wouldn't complain at all.

Disregarding a part time assistant whose only allowed to stand in one place while she measures clothes and nothing else for hours on end, Twenty/Ten Clothing has been an almost entirely 1 man show.... Sealed with a hand shake no more than ten minutes ago however, Twenty/Ten has taken it's first step in it's ascent to the ranks of the Fortune 500, I have officially added my first salaried employee that actually matters...a Professional Product photographer, one who specializes in clothing.

Along this journey I've been told a lot and read more, most of it was bullshit, some partially made sense, however there is one word of wisdom, rather a quote, that will forever be engrained in my mind....Upon questioning this man regarding the fact that his listings had absolutely no words as far as a description is concerned, I got this in response, "In all honesty, people don't give a fuck what you have to say. They only look at the pictures. Pictures are what sell your shit." The fact that this man was divulging the true secret of the business that allowed him the ability to afford an Italian Sportscar off consignment helped legitimize this statement into truth, and I've never forgotten it. Well the game has officially been elevated, the pictures will be professional, also meaning listing all day for me, and a huge skyrocket in inventory. Dollar. Dollar. Bills.....It definitely isn't cheap to hire the best as a salaried employee, but I figure why do it unless you do it right? Now all my, and most importantly, all my clients, will have all their items Photographed by a pro and listed by one too, next level shit. Sorry I'm just super fucking happy about this, im done.

Thanks Uncle Spoo

One minor correction wink.gif

But I'm thrilled for you man, you don't know how big of a help that is. You'll have so much more time to get shit done, get product, and continue an ascent.

Does anyone remember or know where to find how to make tables in garage sale? I can't find it anywhere.

I know man, I honestly am truly having a hard time bottling my excitement. My emails to clients informing them of the big news are true vintage Jompso posts...essays just going on and on. I was put on this planet to do one thing, that is sell menswear, if there is one thing in this world I know, it's classic menswear and how to sell it, and if there's one thing that I am truly good, that's sourcing premium menswear. With one hire I am now given the freedom to do nothing other than either do what I know best or be out doing what I do best.

And I appreciate the kinda words but honestly, without the words of wisdom and advice you so generously gave the guy who started off an asshole with post #1 unknowingly because he had no clue that 2 Kiton cashmeres and 2 Pure Cash Brionis, and one full pure cash suit, wasn't a standard one stop and how come everyone else wasn't posting the same shit?.... you took time and you recognized that the polarizing personality is a mere facade, that this is not who I am by any stretch of the imagination, without your early guidance my business wouldn't be where it is, and without your ability to be able to recognize character traits and be able to tell that I am nothing like I am made out to be, I would have never receieved that guidance. thank you for your wisdom of the industry and so generously sharing it with me. A man who has achieved so much making himself available to those who have done so little is beyond an act of pure good willed geneoristy, it's far beyond that, something in which I am having a hard time describing with words....Essentially I'd equate it to taking a trip to the batting cages and by pure luck Barry Bonds happened to be there with his kids, however he takes an interest in my swing and decides that he is going to offer free batting lessons to me 1 on 1, the quickest, most compact, perfectly balanced swing ever teaching me. Or Kobe giving me tips either how to be the most competivie best basketball player ever or  hw to fuck teenage white women, or McGwire walking me day by day, through the most strength optimal 6 week steroid cycle, or Jordan teaching me to gamble or to literally never miss a pull up 20 footer, or Tiger teaching me how to read a green. Your mere activity here is taken for granted at times, however you are truly appreciated by all of us. thank you for everything you do and contribute. How you figured out to have your days last 35 hours so you can do all this, I don't know but it's rare that legends in the feild do what u do and give back what u do. I'll stop riding your dick now. Thanks.

Okay, after checking out some of the pics from my Canon, REALLY happy with the natural light setup.  Still need to work on the white balance a little, but much improved over my old setup.

I would love to switch to natural light. I'm moving next week and I'll have a really great room for natural light photos, but working a 9-5 doesn't leave a lot of time for photo-taking during daylight hours. Might have to figure out a specific set of weekend hours dedicated to photo time.
