Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions - Page 1767

I'm full of questions.
I have a pair of shoes up for auction, with one ~$30 bid on them so far. Two different shoppers have asked me to sell them at a BIN, and one of them made a good offer ($60) that I'd be willing to accept. However, I don't see an option to send (or receive) an offer in the email chain, and since there's a bid, I can't switch to a BIN listing. How should I proceed?
(I'm sure this has been covered, but I wasn't sure what search terms to use.)

Your options are to either end the auction now and sell to the high bidder at the current price or let the auction ride.

That's what I was afraid of.
Thanks, though.

I listed these Kazuki x Clot x Levi's jeans last night as BINOBO and already have an offer for $100 from a buyer in China.

My questions for you:

  • Are these more desirable than your typical limited ed Japanese Levis collab? The offer is more than my target price (but less than my list price) and the speed of the offer has me wondering if I've undervalued them.
  • Are they desirable outside of Hong Kong and the rest of China? Should I hold out for a North American / European / Japanese buyer?

Keep in mind that I'm in Canada and Canada Post doesn't have the same character restrictions as USPS does for shipping to China.

Here's a pic:

Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, z1.1.0. ||B2

Any advice would be appreciated!

EDIT: Turns out buyer has 0 feedback. I'm going to reject his offer.

Yes those are a more desired collab than your standard Levis Japan collab. Levis Platinum kzKlot 505. They're not that recent, thus more rare, which obviously adds value but means you should let the market find them. A little time and I think you'll be fielding offers much higher than $100, especially from NA and European bidders. Plus that cobalt blue Weft is sick.

Thanks, though.

You can always tell the other guy that if he becomes the high bidder, you can end and sell to him. You'll just have to send him an adjused invoice before he pays.

OK so i sent the wrong item to someone internationally. they paid $30 to ship it back to me (item is worth about $200 net to me).

apparently USPS tried to deliver once to me (without any notification) on 2/2/16 and then brought it back to the post office to be delivered back to sender.

now i dk wtf to do. do i have ANY recourse here?

FUCK!

Have been looking for a Filsom Mackinaw in 44 for a long time in Navy. I found one today except when I looked at the pictures the tag said it was a 48. I then asked the guy if it was really a 44 or a 48, he proceeded to tell me that it was an EU 48... I said ummmm no Filson uses American sizes and he said Levis was an American brand and LVC uses EU sizing. I said Wut? Then he asked me if I was going to bid on his 48EU Filson coat when I wear a 44.

Record sale brag...  and in less than 24 hours (though that always makes you wonder how much more you could've gotten!):

I'm selling a jacket and had a message from someone saying their PayPal isn't working and if it would be ok to pay with an expedited money order or cashier's check. Is this some kind of scam? Guy has been with eBay since 04 and hasn't had feedback in forever.

You don't need an account to use a credit card with PayPal.

Paypal not working stories are an automatic red flag for me, personally I won't deal with these people. It's either bullshit or they did something in order for Paypal to freeze their account. Inform them of what @Fueco said and if you get excuses as to why they can't do this either, don't deal with them, it's not worth it.

I'd highly suggest you all block this asshole. I accepted his offer on an item, and then received four messages on Sunday (and two more on Monday) requesting to cancel the order as he'd found the item cheaper elsewhere. I've rarely encountered a more belligerent type of jerk.

Can you just disregard the request and fuck him with an Unpaid Item strike? Are we obligated to oblige to requests of cancellation because that doesn't seem right. You should just hit him with one of those cuz buyers are starting to really exploit this cancellation request shit.

Looks like I can contribute to the deadbeats.  Won auction.  No messages until my automatic unpaid case opens.  Says he was waiting on a paycheck and no longer has the money to pay and wants me to cancel.....I let that ride through so he got dinged for nonpayment
