Decided to pop ten bucks on Facebook advertising for a PRL Corn suit, just to see what might happen.

Placed the ad last night when the suit had 32 views and 2 watchers.

This morning, it had 41 views and 4 watchers.

BUT, around the same time another item made the PTO roundup which may or may not have skewed people towards eyeballing my other wares.

Suit sold tonight, with 62 views.  The FB ad had a click-thru of only 9 people at a cost of like 92 cents total.  But I have no idea of it actually did anything because of the possible PTO skew.

RESULT: plausible.

[And I still have an impressive ad budget of $9.08 to toss at something else.]

Final Conclusion: I have no fricking idea.

Listed an older PRL herringbone tweed sportcoat on eBay.

Buyer receives and sends this:

Hello,
You said this was in excellent used condition in the description but it has fuzzy pilling all over it which I am not happy with and I'll have to buy a fuzz cutter thing to clean it up for 12 dollars now.

What to do? I didn't notice any excessive pilling outside of what I see on every tweed jacket I see. Any ideas?

Offer to refund $12 to pay for the cost of the shaver?

I'd go over and above that - if the dude is being put out by now having to buy a shaver and do extra work, he's still getting less than he paid for even with covering the cost of the shaver.

But if you stated as-is, no returns etc, then you can risk it far as feedback is concerned and do nothing, or just the partial refund.

I finally put together the guide to BB labels that I've been planning for a while. @Van Veen asked about it, but others may be interested.

This might be my new favorite return comment...

While I really love this sandal, it is much too tight on my foot. The listing quoted it as a youth size US 4, European size 37. I am an adult size US 5 1/2, European size 35 and this did not fit my foot.

Orders a size 4 when she wears a 5.5? Also, listing states Euro 36, not 37. I always assumed everyone knows that shoe sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer...

Looking into it further, it appears that the sandals should fit like a women's 5.5, as they are the same size in UK and CM sizes according to KEEN's website. Now I'm just mystified why the wouldn't fit. Are kid's sizes narrower?

So I sold two ties and shipped them out. They show delivered three days early. What's weird is he opened a refund request 20 minutes after usps showed they were delivered. It's very odd. So I called ebay they closed case in my favor as they did show delivery and can show they were combined shipping. Then tonight I see PayPal case open from same guy same reason. Mind you he has three feedback and the name on PayPal and eBay are different people. So I call PayPal to have them close the case with same evidence and this is the weird part. There was two separate ties in one usps flat rate bubble. PayPal says the case is open for the second tie wich was combined shipping with the other. Paypal rep says I couldn't use the one tracking number for both only one since there treated as separate purchases and don't offer protection on combined items anymore. So he's basically saying he only got one and I can't prove otherwise. PayPal closed in his favor refunded his money. PayPal rep said all combined shipping items only the original purchase is covered now. So he scammed me for one charvet. So no more being nice guy with combined shipping anymore. I hate PayPal there business practices suck.

Were the orders combined within Ebay? If so, PayPal should have closed this in your favor.

I only combine shipping on items if I am able to combine the orders within Ebay before the buyer pays; unless I'm fairly certain that the buyer isn't a scammer (repeat customers and such).
