And after you had already shipped? Sometimes I feel like a lot of people just ignore messages from Ebay. You are creating labels through Ebay, correct? Douchenozzle should've noticed the "shipped" notification...

another reason why i always always always sign the other guy up for pre-emptive tracking notification with his paypal email

every scan he'll get an email saying where it is.

after doing that i've never had one single message asking me where anything is.

I haven't had those since I started creating labels through Ebay. There are just a certain number of people who will never understand how things work. I believe the number is around 1%, which is which gives us all the other 1% of transactions to keep our TRS status on Ebay. :tinfoil:

Yes and yes. My suspicion is that he has remorse over having spent $75 on "a damn shirt" and is misdirecting his anger at my obviously slow shipping, hoping I hadn't sent it yet.

Great suggestion! May have to start doing this as well.

Only a few here, but the website for other labels is helpful:

Got a note from a buyer:

"The package you sent did not include an apartment #. So the package was not delivered and based on the tracking information will be returned to sender. I would still like the product however. So could you resend it once it arrives? I would be fine with the least expensive shipping. If not could you please refund the purchase."

I assume I should instruct him to update his address in PayPal before I try to re-ship, right? Anything else?

I have it tied to my amazon account so all supplies are charged on that too.

All purchases at thrifts that accept credit cards are automatically tracked in one place. A godaddy/outright account is also essential, but would can wait until you make enough to pay taxes. By that I mean, once you quit buying stuff you need to get started and inventory and convert inventory into cash.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Even if you sell a bunch, you're probably gonna take a while to offset purchases. My first year (2013) I did it manually with excel and downloads from ebay and paypal, and manually reconciled the 2. Outright gives you a form. It also gives you all the detail, but it gives you the necessary tax forms, you make any adjustments to the base file and it updates everything else. 2014 with outright, it was MUCH easier.

Let's see, iphone, macbookpro, garagesale, tape, bags, lighting, camera, memory, hard drives to back up your photos and auctions, mileage, repairs, cleaning, alterations etc....... And some people take deductions for the part of their house dedicated to their ebay business and all related expenses.

Still, I hope you quickly get to the point where you're mainly bitching about how much tax you owe.

The only reason I ask about the second account because if I use Outright, it's much easier to deal with if there are no personal transactions commingled with business transactions. For now I'll just stick with one account, though, and get the debit card.

I'm working on listing as much fodder as possible to get the cash flow started. I have enough inventory (maybe too much given how little storage space I had). I know I made a lot of bad buys (like too many shirts) in my first few weeks and want to give that stuff a shot before I redonate it.

I already file a Schedule C and use a budgeting program (meaning everything is tracked and categorized), so taxes won't be too bad for me even without Outright. This will hopefully replace my other side job, which is Sched C and uses a lot of the same types of deductions.

so I've had this t-shirt listed in my eBay store for like 5 months. I just got an email from eBay saying they removed this listing because it violates ebays terms of service. They said the trademark holder contacted them because the item is fraudulent. Can anybody confirm if this is real or fake? If it's real, is there anything I can do to relist it?

I haven't seen a ton of D&G but that label looks kind of off, especially the size.

Definitely fake.

Yeah, couple spelling mistakes on that care tag.

This is why I decided to use fixed cost shipping for everything, especially BINOBO. Shipping cost is not negotiable.
