I have had this happen to me. I can't remember the specific limit, but I was told I couldn't cancel a bid due to proximity to the auction's end. There was less than 24 hrs remaining but more than an hour.

Here's the rules:

Time restrictions for retracting a bid

Auction ending time Retraction allowed? Result

Listing ends in more than 12 hours

Yes

When you retract the bid, we remove all bids you placed on the item. If you are correcting a bidding error, you must bid again.

Listing ends in less than 12 hours

Yes, but only if you retract the bid within one hour of placing it

When you retract the bid, we remove only your most recent bid. Bids you placed prior to the last 12 hours of the listing are not removed.

No.  Church's are always pretty much illegible aside from the size and even then you need to know, for example, "110A" means UK size 11 A width, e.g.:

Hrm, the text is different than Cheaney isn't it? It almost reminded me of Peal & Co but I thought that was typically displayed. Thanks for letting me know. I think I listed it as Church's.

Spoke with a rep and they said it's a love hate thing where some people love it and some hate it but if you have lots of money going in and out of your account with sales it might not be a bad idea to add for the extra 15 seconds it takes to enter the pin from the text message

Thanks for the info - not really readily apparent in the settings. I love 2 factor authentication for the security and peace of mind.

Thanks for your help, guys. Apparently some clown bid $37k on a pair of jeans and retracted the bid with 30 seconds to go. Someone had been competing up to $70-something and once the high bidder retracted, the price was reset to the competitor's lowest high bid. Reported the retractor, spent 40 min. on the phone with 3 different eBay reps., was promised a coupon of at least $25, possibly $40. I don't understand how eBay can so fiercely protect buyers and ignore sellers.

Had my first "full" week of auctions and pulled in about $500 off of 14 sold auctions. I'm happy with that. I need to allocate more time throughout the week to get listings up. I'm still not very efficient with it but I have so much to list that I'll probably stop thrifting for about a month to catch up.

If your out of a job and this is your income and your worried about your efficiency, you should be setting hours for yourself as if its a job just to keep yourself structured. like dedicate 8-5 everyday strictly listing stuff for example cuz this is your job now, its your source of income, it should be treated as such...my hours are retarded, I would never recommend them but basic organization of your daily routine and schedule will make your work output extremely more efficient and you will have a far greater amount than 14 auctions a week, you could clear that number in a day easy....or do you, just a piece of advice from one to another

I cleared that number and much more today itself, I just had a lot on my plate last week that fucked with my listing time. Well, that and I did more BIN's last week. Moved to more auctions this week. Aiming for 70 auctions by Thursday and it'll be possible as long as I'm efficient and as long as the sun is shining -_-

I also don't use things like garagesale(no mac) so I do all of them by hand. Fucking tediousssssssss.

Whole
Goddamn forum is like this.

The secret is to post a ton in dumb threads (and threads that should be in dumb threads) to increase your post count, then you don't look like so much of a new poster anymore. (I'm still working on ripping myself a new asshole, though. I don't think I've drank enough yet.)
