Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions - Page 1686

I just bought something on ebay that I needed to ship somewhere else and forgot to change the address. I messaged the seller with the new address via ebay. Is there anything the seller or I can do in the system to have the address changed?

I feel like an idiot, but it is what it is.

He cancels transaction, you accept the cancellation request. He refunds you the money. You update your paypal address. He relists the item and you buy it again.

Or the seller COULD edit your address when they go to pay for shipping / print out the label. I've edited addresses before. I think it technically voids the whole "Seller Protection" thing, but whatever.

This. And make sure paypal refunds the transaction fees also.

I changed an address after the buyer messaged me it was the wrong address, called eBay and spoke to a CSP and told them why I changed the address and they made a note of it and told me I would still be eligible for seller protection

I do the same for lower price sales.  If a buyer messages me (and I feel it is genuine) to change an address.  I respond by telling them I can change the address, to exactly how they presented it to me.  And as long as they are willing to accept responsibility if something goes wrong because the address is not "paypal verified".

After that, I will package their item, print a label with their provided new address, and then take a picture of that packaged item, to upload into eBay messages.  This provides verification that I did indeed used their provided new address exactly as they presented it, it also shows the tracking number is exactly the one that was uploaded onto eBay.

Does anyone know how to remove folks from the "leave feedback list"?

When you click on leave feedback and it shows you the whole list of people you need to leave feedback for is there any way just to remove people from that list?

I've two on there that did not pay/cancelled. I don't feel like giving them "positive" feedback so they get no feedback. I just don't want to see their IDs every day...

I think they time out and vanish after a few months but that is too long. :-)

Thanks!

You can archive the orders and they'll disappear I believe.

Anyone has experience in dealing with counterfeit item?

Recently, I have bought an item  of over USD3000 through eBay but found that its probably a counterfeit one. The seller refuses to offer return and said its sold as is. Asked eBay for that situation in the resolution centre, they just keep changing the officers every time they review the case and everyone of them have different standards. They only know to ask me for proof but the problem is the manufacturer was reluctant to help. I went to the Police to report the case but not much help here as the crime is not criminal. And then suddenly eBay closes the case and say I can't provide proof to them.

What shall I do for this case? Any comments or advice are appreciated.

You go to the boutique or store or flagship or whatever of the brand of item you purchased for 3 grand and then you have them document in their letterhead that it's is a fake and then have them explain why and then open a paypal case if ebay is of no help.

Got this zegna tie early in my thrifting career without an embossed EZ on the interfacing. Does that mean likely a fake?
