The one I have puts out more steam than any dedicated steamer I have seen. I would not go back to the irons you find at Bed, Bath & Beyond after owning a "professional" iron.

Thanks for the recommendations all.  The Delonghi is well out of my price range and will probably go with the Reliable, available on Amazon for a bit less.  Since I use my Amazon card pretty frequently I have a ton of rewards which will come in handy.

Buyer messages me and says the waist measurements on a pair of jeans are 2" off. He offers to leave positive feedback if I pay return shipping.

Couldn't he have just opened an INAD case? I mean I'm positive I measured right, but my word against his?

Can I actually pay his shipping back? He'd have to send it back as "does not fit" and I would refund his full price plus send more for shipping? I'm not sure how that works, or if that is "outside" of ebay and not allowed?

Anyone have any thoughts? I asked for a picture but I'm sure that will be no help at all.

Thanks for any thoughts anyone has on this.

Hmm, seems like I am covered by the feedback extortion policy? http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-extortion.html

I'd refund the guy but don't want the defect as I'm pretty sure I measured right.

Any talking points for when I call eBay tomorrow?

Hmm, I guess this may be another one of those call back until you get a rep that agrees with you. I'm not sure what eBay can do proactively since I've not had this situation before. What is the correct best case scenario an eBay rep would do? Pre-emptively block the user somehow? I guess I don't know. At this point he's still able to open a INAD which I'm not sure if the feedback extortion will counter... Can you tell I overthink these things?

I dealt with one recently and it took less than 5 minutes to escalate and close. The buyer opened a NAD case against me after I had his negative feedback removed and the rep squashed it.

Updates!

Received my item back today. I re-measured and my measurements were still the same as when I listed. Oy. I have no idea how much the person must have stretched on them for their picture.

I uploaded my pictures to the return request and called eBay. They advised they would remove the defect. However, they only remove defects on Thursdays now, so it may not go away till then? Hah. Always something. Oh well, I have the SRN number and will call back if it is not removed. I'm not super sweating at this point. Only a bit of time till the new rules go into effect right. Yay. Thanks again everyone. I'm considering this a learning experience. :teach:

They did the same with me except when it happened with me their day was actually Friday. I think you can have them removed any day if it's before they are actually posted to your account, like if you take care of it in advance, however if it's posted and the defect is recorded and than overturned in your favor, than they have a certain day of the week they remove these. Essentially it's just ebay being ebay.

When I'm done with my Rowenta, I will definitely be upgrading to a canister iron like this. Just put it on my wishlist.

Thanks for this post. You just reminded me my wife's steamer has been broken for a while, and I have a $150 Macy's Gift Card.

Small time non-sartorial capitalist brag. Only paid $5 for this game at a neighborhood yard sale.

During my last debacle I was told that removed feedback might not actually be removed until Thursday.

I am upgrading to a Canon T6i. My d3100 has served me well but now I'm looking for something that's better suited for video. I'm wondering if I will see a noticeable difference in picture quality. I'm not expecting to, but I don't have a lot of experience with DSLRs (I'm not sure how sensitive the human eye is to quality differences once you reach a certain point).

Well, optics are hugely important. And also the final format that you will be presenting your content in. Look at it like a chain of filters...
