Late to the weekly sales conversation.

Recently joined the "full-time" team when I was laid off from work last week. I just want to thank everyone who's posted helpful tips in this thread over the past couple of years. It's really helped a lot.

Note to self: get on @SpooPoker level.

I can always count on @SpooPoker for a lesson in humility. :embar:

And ended the weekly sales conversation.  Although I'm perfectly happy with my $1200-$1500 weeks... for now.

Buyer just emailed me the following:

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you could only pay with PayPal, I do not wish to use PayPal, they now require a SS Number, and will not be purchasing this item, again, My apologies"

They should not need a SS# to pay with a cc. You dont even have to have a paypal account to buy stuff. You just get an invoice and pay with any cc like at a store. Just did this with someone without a paypal account the other day.

I always assumed that postal insurance covered cases where the delivery driver leaves a package out in the open and doesn't hand it to a living, breathing person. This is good to know. I'm going to go thank my wife for being at home with the kids during the day...

Etsy's definition of handmade is much more lenient than that of the FTC FWIW.

Do you have your settings set to where you only allow bids from people with PayPal? I do. Periodically, I will check the chart that shows the people who were blocked from bidding on my items. There will always be some on there who were blocked for not having a PayPal account.

Yep... You did your part as well. You are not responsible for the security of an item that has been properly delivered to the correct address. Upload the tracking info when and if it is requested and keep on selling.

I just noticed the NBT logo and said hey I recognize that name.  I purchased some pants and haven't paid because I have my eye on a few more items.  Should I pay for the pants now or just wait and pay for them all at once?
