Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions - Page 1630

Here is another crappy buyer experience. Had a new eBayer purchase a pair of shoes. Received them yesterday and emailed me today stating that he wore them for an hour and the soles fell apart. Asked him for photos and after having to talk him through the process, he sent a blurry and cropped pic of the soles which were completely destroyed. As in the rubber was completely gone on the right shoe and on the heel of the left shoe. It looked like someone who was dragging his right foot while riding a motorcycle. Told him that I wouldn't accept a return unless it was in the same condition. Buyer started to get belligerent and accused me of using fake photos. I pointed out the identifying mark on the bottom of the surviving sole and he threatened negative feedback. eBay is being helpful so far, so we'll see. What ticked me off was that his story changed four times about what condition the shoes were in when they got to him, at first he said he wore them for a little bit, then he said he wore them around the house, then he said he noticed the damage when he opened the box.

Just to spare anyone else the bother of dealing with him, his user name is ra-newbe.

serious question - would you list this tie as LGBT?

Worth a shot. Might alienate the homophobes but might grab the attention of a few people looking for something like that.

Sure! Why not! But I'd use Rainbow first, and LGBT if I had enough characters leftover.

Good call. I didnt know if there was a certain layout of the colors of the stripes that meant something.

not to beat this to death, but

ROYGBV - there's a definite pattern and i see your tie is missing orange at least but i don't think anybody will riot. it catches the spirit of the flag and i'm sure you can be a little creatively ambiguous in your listing to make it work.

Just don't abbreviate the brand. You might catch some shit if you use T&A and LGBT in the same listing.

PSA gents... Post Offices are closed today for Veterans Day, and I'm kind of glad I don't have to drive today. First snow day of the season. Here's the view from my office window:

That amount of snow would be enough for Alabama to shut down all roads and schools. The governor would be declaring a state of emergency.

LOL. There's about 2" on the porch railings in the backyard. I purposely hit a lot more stores yesterday so I could stay inside this morning. The roads will be clear by early afternoon. smile.gif

When I moved to Colorado from Minnesota in 2008, everyone this time of year kept saying stuff like "are you prepared for your the crazy Colorado winters?" and I kept having to tell them I lived in Minneapolis my entire life.

It's really insane how Colorado can get dumped with snow and they don't send plows out and then somehow all of the roads are clear the next day. If that happened in MN, the roads would just be packed with ice and un-driveable for the rest of the year.

Enjoy the CO winters. They're pretty perfect. Tons of snow, but it never really gets too cold.
