Are you using the eBay site to purchase postage? I usually just call it a "large package" or whatever delineation they use and don't bother with the actual dimensions. Never had a problem with it. They are more concerned with the weight, unless it's a really oddly shaped or large box. May be different for you flat rate guys. I just do regular priority.
yep, going through eBay after the buyer has paid. i'll give that a shot. noticed that a medium flat rate fits it comfortably too!

So weird thing. I can't send an invoice for the item that the buyer from Korea purchased because ebay isn't letting me ship it any way other than their global shipping program. Is there any way around it or do I have to contact them directly?

need to see what you removed.

the problem with Tuen Mun is there are the apartments, and then there are the older parts where the locals call it "villages." so if it's the former, as long as there's the estate name + building + floor number and unit (usually A - whatever alphabet), u'r good to go. if it's the villages, I have no clue; never lived in those before.

Tuen Mun, N.T.
Hong Kong SAR

if it ends like that, it'll get there. I've never addressed anything other than Hong Kong S.A.R and all my parcels / letters / xmas cards or what not gets there just fine. It's what you removed in your post is what'll determine whether it'll get there or not.

Has anyone ever shipped to south korea? I just got an offer on my sutor mantellassi's asking exactly what I was hoping for but I'm not sure how to proceed.

Upon doing so, how would you ship? Insured? Tracking?
Shipped to SK many times, never an issue with priority thus far.

USPS priority mail international? A flat rate medium box is 60 bucks. Sound about right?
Yes, FR is expensive.

Many countries have recently discontinued tracking USPS packages even for international Priority.
Oh really? Do tell more. Is there a list of updates or something?
- -
I did notice last time I shipped to Finland, priority offered no tracking, yet First Class did for 20 bucks cheaper...please someone explain that one to me.

Ebay really is getting ridiculous... I just had a CS rep there basically tell me that they can't remove neg feedback unless it violates the feedback policy directly, even though the buyer made no effort to follow through in returning the item. In addition, a CS rep promised me on January 13 that the feedback would be removed if the buyer did not return the item.
That has happened to me as well, they lied to me saying they would remove if he left negative based on the buyer "abusing the return system" (eBay's words).
-Only way my negative was actually removed was ironically after an eBay case was escalated and sided in my favor.

Just to continue my small attempt to rebalance the negative tide against buyers on ebay here by sellers... what is with sellers who point blalnk refuse to sell to buyers outside their home countries? Mostly, I have to say, Americans, and one or two, I've noticed, forum members. I know Americans are notoriously suspicious of the outside world and 50% don't have a passport etc. but I would have though that forum members in particular would be a little more sophisticated and cosmopolitan than that... But more seriously, it is really damn annoying when you see something you really, really like and are prepared to pay even via the ridiculous scamtastic Global Shipping Program, and then, you see 'I don't ship outside the US. Never. For Anyone. Don't Even Ask' (or words to that effect)... grrr.
