Possibly a dumb question, but I thought I’d better clarify. I always post to the address provided by Paypal; is that correct procedure?

Honestly dont know as I dont check paypal. I print labels direct though ebay (saves money also being TR) and it says "Eligible for seller protection" and that's where it goes.

Thanks. I shipped through ebay and within my specified handling time. So do you write to the seller to see what he wants in these situations, or has he effectively forfeited his claims by never claiming the package?

Thanks. I'll try the eBay labels, but I have the feeling that it doesn't work with Australian postal services.

Yes this happened to me. A buyer claimed he never got the package and he sounded honest but the signature confirmation said "signed for". When I looked on the USPS web site it said signed by P OFFICE. Meaning that the post office signed for it which of course they can't do. I ended up having a long correspondence with the buyer and also calling the post office in Florida. When I spoke to the manager there he said that the delivery guy was carrying the package when he mistakenly scanned it as signed for and then left it by the front door without even getting the recipients signature. He agreed that they were responsible. After the proper time I filed a claim with ShipCover and within two days I got my money from them and refunded the buyer. If you got insurance through USPS it might be a little more difficult because they are know to drag their feet.
