$45 for a Charvet seems reasonable. I just had one go for $26 at auction.

Quote: Like $40 which is a joke, but I think it is more secure then Priority if you are using a flat rate envelope.

I list them for $95 usually and wait. Most sell in the $65-85 range

Ah, I thought you said you THOUGHT it was a Charvet (meaning it was something else). $45 is on the low side of fair. I usually get $75 or so for them.

annnnnd looks like I need to follow Fuecos auctions

Question:

someone asked a question and I responded but forgot to click the "make question public" box.

Am I able to somehow make that question and my response public?

Thanks

You can copy/paste and edit into your description as a cheat, but you cant naturally otherwise.

Ask them to ask it again. Or ask it from your shill bidding account.  What? Huh?

Or get someone here to ask it for you.

Just to return to an old topic, if you are a US seller, us (mostly) buyers would generally be very grateful if you did not use the 'Global Shipping Program'.

GSP is basically a scam for ebay, adding seemingly notional customs / import duties to goods which often have no relation to the actual charges for particular countries. Canada, for example, does not charge import duties on used clothing (which is what most of us are concerned with here), and yet the GSP automatically adds on about 25% for these non-existent charges. And the shipping charges it calculates are also exhorbitant - nomal postal services are perfectly adequate. I've just had to ask a buyer to cancel a sale recently because of this as the GSP almost doubled the price (I don't like to do this, but luckily he was a good guy and he agreed).

I know lots of sellers think things are stacked against them on ebay, but it's more like ebay is increasingly stacking things against everyone, buyers and sellers alike...

Really? At any threshold?

I'm not sure what the specifics are as I can't find the reference now (I looked it up a while back), but I've only ever paid import duties on one item out of many, which was over $300. When I talked to the officers about this, they did say that used clothing is generally not something they look at in any detail... anyway, I'm happy to take my chances with the odds I've experienced so far. Likewise in Japan, I haven't been charged a thing on anything I've bought from abroad.
